Heritage Celebration

Carlton is totally committed to initiatives that honour our rich past and celebrate it. Our plan for celebration of history and heritage focuses on:

I. New digital presence. Publishing our journey to our people in the online world and creating a digital archive to share our rich history with Blues fans wherever they are.

II. Archives storage repository. Breathe new life into one of the most loved heritage stands. Preserve, catalogue and store within a new facility within the Gardiner Stand, our historical pieces and memorabilia. Our club memories are precious and priceless.

In 2025, the Club continued our commitment to honouring and celebrating our rich history and tradition through a series of heritage initiatives. Investment was made in the upgrade of secure storage facilities designed to protect and catalogue the Club’s historical assets. Items include rare and fragile documents such as annual reports, photographs, lithographs, certificates, and other archival materials. The project was guided by a specialist archivist, whose recommendations ensured that items are now safeguarded against light exposure and age-related deterioration, preserving them for future generations.

The Club’s Historical Society remained an active and vital part of its heritage program that the Foundation support. Throughout the year,  Historical Society members have received bespoke communications and events, offering members unique opportunities to engage with one another, share their passion and learn about stories from the Club’s celebrated past. Required updates were also made to the heritage displays in the IKON Park foyer that extend the respect and recognition of club  figures and moments. These revisions ensure our club’s proud history is accessible for everyone attending IKON Park.

Additionally, the Club’s digital history platform progressed into the product design phase.  A formal request for proposal (RFP) was  issued, and the Club has since been in active discussions with potential providers.  This project aims to ensure the Club’s  historical information and content is preserved and remains easily accessible online.
